Eppendorf Reference 2 Pipettes ~ accessories
Most of the Eppendorf liquid handling devices are equipped with an embedded RFID chip containing all relevant data regarding the pipette (serial no., Certificate of Conformity, article no. etc.).
To increase the traceability of your pipette portfolio Eppendorf offers Eppendorf TrackIT. This product contains a RFID reader and software to scan the device data and save it in a database which can be opened at any time. The device data can be exported individually or automatically in various formats.
In combination with premium products like Eppendorf Reference 2 Eppendorf TrackIT offers also the ability to add your own data on the chip like calibration time & results, location, special application or other important data.
Simple identification and documentation with Eppendorf TrackIT!
Unambiguous instrument identification
Nearly every liquid handling device is equipped with a RFID chip containing following data
Number of channels
Factory adjustment data
Custom data (not available with all liquid handling devices)
These data clearly identify the pipette and cannot be changed or deleted (exception: custom data).
Easy documentation including specific user information
Via Eppendorf TrackIT software customer specific information (e.g. company name, no. of work bench) can be stored in the database and on the RFID chip. (not available with all liquid handling devices)
The Eppendorf TrackIT software exports information to following formats:
- HTML (web based)
The data export is needed e.g. for inventory or implementing Eppendorf TrackIT in existing software systems like electronic lab book or LIMS
If the documentation is paper based Eppendorf TrackIT offers the possibility to print the data thus documentation becomes error-free (no errors by transferring data to written sheet or into a laboratory book).
All information concerning the pipette including the service history are stored on the RFID chip and in the data base
The RFID chip is embedded in the pipette thus the information cannot be lost
