The new well design features smoothed corners and transitions at the walls and at the bottom of the wells. Due to RecoverMax design the liquid collects at the lowest point at the center of the wells.
The new design prevents interfering sample deposits from accumulating in the corners, especially in rectangular wells. Benefit: considerably reduced liquid and sample losses, efficient sample mixing and wicking reduction.

Eppendorf's OptiTrack matrix makes work easier by providing a unique combination of colored borders with dark, alphanumeric labeling. The five colors facilitate assignment to persons, laboratories, work steps, or experiments. The wells themselves are colorless and transparent - for a perfect view inside the wells or inspecting the underside of the plate.
DNA LoBind / Protein LoBind: Highest recovery rates for proteins and/ or DNA / RNA
Eppendorf Plate® Deepwells 96 and 384 in DNA LoBind and Protein LoBind are also Eppendorf PCR clean. This means the plates can be used directly for PCR setup. They are free of human DNA, DNase, RNase, and PCR inhibitors.
In deepwell plates with conventional surface properties, up to 95% of the material is lost after 24 h (in this case: BSA) due to nonspecific interactions. However, with Plate Deepwell 96/1000 Âµl Protein LoBind and 384/200 Âµl Protein LoBind the maximum loss is only 10% and 20%, respectively (see Fig. below).

Mixing: Secure and efficient with the Eppendorf MixMate
Compact and amazingly versatile, benchtop MixMate can be used for virtually any mixing application. It accommodates micro test tubes, PCR plates, deepwell plates and MTPs. It features an integrated vortexing function and an operating concept that is as simple as it is intelligent.
2DMix-Control: uniquely fast and controlled mixing movement
Current findings show that rpm speed is not the only determining factor in efficiently mixing small volumes. More often, the perfect mixing process occurs when parameters such as speed, type of mixing movement (e.g., orbital) and the mixing radius are optimized to smoothly run together. Eppendorf has perfected how these parameters interact in MixMate, and we have named this feature 2DMix-Control.

All parts of the plate (colorless/colored parts and coding) have the same high resistance against chemicals and are resistant against many organic solvents. Is it possible to store Eppendorf Deepwell Plate at â€“196Â°C in liquid nitrogen?
No - we recommend storage at â€“80Â°C.

Yes, but the dimensional precision of the plates can be affected. If the use of sterile plates is needed we recommend Eppendorf Deepwell Plate Sterile.
Are Eppendorf Deepwell Plate LoBind coated or siliconized?
No - the plates are neither coated nor siliconized.
Does the polypropylene of the plates contain plasticizers?
No â€“ Eppendorf Deepwell Plate are made of polypropylene which does not contain plasticizers.
Eppendorf Deepwell Plate are withstand high centrifugation forces â€“ what are the limits?
Eppendorf Deepwell Plate Standard and LoBind Quality can be centrifuged up to 6000 x g. Eppendorf Deepwell Plate Sterile withstand up to 5000 x g. For details refer to the instruction manual.
What is the life expectancy of Eppendorf micro test tubes?
At least 5 years at a storage temperature of +5 to +35 Â°C.

Do your micro test tubes contain heavy metals?
Lead, cadmium, mercury, etc. are well below the prescribed limits of the DIN norm. In the course of the production process it is impossible to avoid the smallest quantities of metal resulting from machine friction.
